Plastic Awareness Campaign

Featured Feature Story: The Historic Plogrun Campaign: 98 Kilometers Covered in Plastic

To protest public littering and create mass awareness, our founder Deepak Varma executed a striking, 24-hour high-endurance campaign featured heavily by national media like The News Minute.

  • The Mission: A grueling 27-hour, 98-kilometer awareness run from Victoria College, Palakkad to the Darbar Hall Ground in Ernakulam/Kochi.
  • The Outfit: Deepak walked carrying 35 kilograms of plastic waste stitched directly onto his body. The custom robe featured 1,400 daily-use plastic items—including 600 low-weight selected items consisting of chip packets, shampoo bottles, toffee covers, and plastic containers collected from his previous street cleanups.
  • The Message: Walking with a placard reading "Don't throw waste in public place", the run successfully engaged thousands of citizens along the highway, driving home the critical philosophy of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.

Signature Campaign: Palakkad Town 24-Hour Nonstop Street Cleaning

  • The Impact: A single-handed, nonstop 24-hour campaign covering a 12 km street stretch in Palakkad Town.
  • The Recovery: Recovered over 4,500 kg of littered waste, which famously included over 1 lakh individual chocolate and toffee wrappers, drawing public attention to the crisis of micro-plastics and multi-layered packaging.

Eco-Tourism Drives: Sabarimala & Munnar Block Initiatives

  • Sabarimala plastic collection drives: Specialized 24-hour emergency plastic clean-up and containment operations during high-congestion pilgrimage seasons.
  • Munnar Tourism Campaign: A dedicated, highly structured 3-year tourism waste-free campaign designed for the Munnar Block to preserve its fragile hill-station ecosystem from tourist-generated trash.
